Major Purpose

 

Reporting to the Sales Manager, New Business Acquisition, the Senior Account Executive is responsible for developing and closing B2B SaaS opportunities. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter, someone who enjoys picking up the phone, creating opportunities and not only aims to reach target, but overachieves to set their own records/standards.

 

You understand sales and how to drive opportunities through a pipeline. Your colleagues describe you as someone who is a go-getter, high energy and someone who knows how to get things done. The ability to develop strong client relationships, through a relatively short sales cycle from initial call to close of business, is critical. Ideally, you are a current-events orientated person when it comes to news, technology, and social media as well.

 Key Responsibilities

  

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities in the small and midsized business market.
  • Follow up on inbound leads created via marketing team as well as leads created by the Business Development Specialists.
  • Present Agilities value proposition to Public Relations and Communications Executives in North America.
  • Diligently manage your sales pipeline while effectively qualifying leads and accurately forecast potential deals.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly specified goals and quotas.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of Agility products and services Collaborate with other sales team members, sharing best practices.
  • Record sales efforts and information in Salesforce.
  • Other duties, as required.

Requirements

  

  • Minimum 5+ years in B2B direct sales with a proven successful track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Lead Generation and cold calling experience an asset.
  • Excellent English language communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to discern customer needs, present products /services appropriately and overcome objections in a professional and persuasive manner.
  • Consistent record of meeting/exceeding goals and quotas.
  • Knowledge, adoption, and use of key communications trends such as social networking sites.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Solid team-player and a willingness to learn.
  • US Federal Government Sales experience an asset.
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian media industry an asset.
  • PR or Communications industry background an asset.
